FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have a return / refund policy?

We want your online shopping experience to be as comfortable as possible, and we know returns are part of that. The following applies to items sold and shipped by Mile High Airguns.

  • We accept returns on new, unused items within 30 days of the date you receive them.
  • Some items are not eligible for return — including ammunition, CO₂ cartridges, crossbows, bows, special orders, and any item marked non-returnable on its product page. If one of these arrives defective, please follow the warranty process below.
  • Products that have left our warehouse can no longer be sold as new and may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 20%.
  • Defective items may be returned within the first 30 days for a refund or replacement. After 30 days, product defects are handled through the manufacturer's warranty.
  • Alterations often void the warranty. If we find tool marks or other signs that an item has been used, damaged, or altered, we reserve the right to refuse the return and send the item back to you.
  • Items that have been serviced by another repair center or the manufacturer are no longer eligible for return to us.
  • All returns must have an RMA (return authorization) number. Please contact us to request one before shipping anything back.
  • Include your order number, the reason for the return, and your RMA number in the box, and package the item securely.

Return address (only after you've received an RMA):

We process returns within one to two business days of receiving the item. Weekends and holidays can extend that timeframe.

What is the shipping timeframe?

Orders placed before 10am usually ship the same business day, Tuesday through Friday. Orders placed Friday after 11am or over the weekend ship the next business day. Weekends and holidays are excluded, and busy periods may add 1–2 days.

Some orders take longer to process, including hazmat products, special-order items, orders containing out-of-stock items, and orders that need verification before processing. Changes made to an order after it's submitted can also cause delays.

What shipping charges can I expect?

We offer free ground shipping on qualifying orders over $250 shipped within the contiguous United States. Item restrictions may apply. Free shipping cannot be combined with a coupon unless stated otherwise.

For all other orders, shipping is calculated by destination and item weight. Add your items to the cart, proceed to checkout, and enter your ZIP code to see exact shipping options before you pay.

What is the warranty period?

Unless otherwise noted on the product page, products sold and shipped by Mile High Airguns carry the manufacturer's warranty — a minimum of 1 year from the date of purchase for most airguns, and 60 days for airsoft guns. Warranty service for defects is handled directly through the manufacturer. If you're not sure who to contact, reach out to us and we'll point you in the right direction.

Is it safe to buy airguns on your site?

Yes. Our checkout runs over industry-standard SSL encryption, which protects your personal and payment information as it travels over the internet. We never see or store your full card number.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major credit cards and the payment options shown at checkout, including [[FILL: e.g. PayPal, Apple Pay, Shop Pay]]. If you pay with PayPal, you are charged at the time of purchase, even if an item is out of stock or backordered.

Do you ship internationally?

[[FILL: state whether you ship outside the US. If US-only, say so here.]] When an order total is shown in US dollars, your final billed amount in local currency is determined by your card issuer or bank.

Are there shipping restrictions?

It's up to you to know and comply with the airgun, ammunition, and knife laws in your state, county, and city. The list below shows examples of products that are prohibited or restricted in certain locations — it is not exhaustive, and laws change. If a product can't ship to your area, your order may be adjusted or cancelled.

U.S. federal law requires all airsoft guns to be sold with a ¼-inch blaze-orange muzzle or an orange flash hider so they aren't mistaken for firearms. Airguns that shoot pellets or steel BBs are not required to have this marking.

State & local restriction examples

  • Alaska & Hawaii: CO₂, firearms ammo, and PCP airguns with pressurized chambers (PCP must be degassed prior to shipping).
  • California: firearms ammo, pepper balls, pepper spray/gel over 2.5oz, automatic knives over 2", firearm magazines over 10 rounds. Marin, Napa, Ventura & Yolo counties also restrict blowguns and machetes.
  • Colorado: machetes and firearm magazines over 15 rounds (Boulder: over 10 rounds).
  • Connecticut: machetes, automatic knives, firearm magazines over 10 rounds, firearms ammo.
  • Delaware: machetes, automatic knives, firearm magazines over 17 rounds. Dover & Wilmington also restrict slingshots and slingshot ammo/accessories.
  • Illinois: airguns over .18 caliber must shoot under 700 fps (.177 any velocity is fine); firearms ammo; automatic knives (FOID card only); rifle magazines over 10 and handgun magazines over 15 rounds. Chicago prohibits airguns, airsoft, and blank guns.
  • Massachusetts: slingshots, blowguns, pepper balls, automatic knives over 1.5", firearms ammo, firearm magazines over 10 rounds.
  • New Jersey: treats airguns as firearms — sales must go through a designated local FFL. Also restricts suppressors, firearms ammo, magazines over 10 rounds, automatic knives, and airguns with larger than a 10-round magazine. Certain high-power models are restricted by brand.
  • New York: firearms ammo, magazines over 10 rounds, pepper balls/spray, wrist-braced slingshots. New York City and its five boroughs prohibit airguns, airsoft, BB guns, blank guns, blowguns, crossbows, and lasers.
  • Pennsylvania – Philadelphia: prohibits airguns, airsoft, BB guns, blowguns, crossbows, longbows, and slingshots.
  • Washington, D.C.: prohibits airguns, airsoft, and BB guns.
  • Other local rules: many cities (e.g. in Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin) restrict slingshots and accessories, and several states restrict automatic knives and high-capacity magazines. Check your local ordinances before ordering.
